Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with IDD in residential settings.

Full-Time • Multiple Locations Available

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Amazing Grace Supportive Services play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health needs. You will provide essential care within clients' homes and community settings, fostering independence and enhancing quality of life through dedicated, person-centered service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support tailored to individual needs and goals.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care and household tasks.
  • Facilitate community integration and participation in social activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress and incidents.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience with IDD or behavioral health is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background and drug screenings.
  • Strong soft skills, including empathy, patience, and reliability.

Community Outreach Coordinator

Supports IDD individuals in building meaningful relationships and actively participating in community, social, and recreational activities that promote independence and inclusion.

Part-Time / Full-Time • Hybrid

The Community Outreach Coordinator at Amazing Grace Supportive Services is responsible for developing and implementing programs that connect individuals with IDD to their local communities. You will work to identify social and recreational opportunities, foster partnerships with local organizations, and ensure that our clients are actively engaged in meaningful community life.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop community-based programs and social events.
  • Coordinate with local businesses and service providers to create inclusive opportunities.
  • Assist clients in navigating community resources and social networks.
  • Promote public awareness and advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate program success through client feedback and participation metrics.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in community organizing or disability services.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.
  • Commitment to the values of inclusion and independence.

Qualified Professional (QP)

This role requires education and experience that meet North Carolina Qualified Professional standards.

Part-Time / Full - Time • Hybrid

Qualified Professionals (QP) oversee clinical standards and supervise care for our IDD and behavioral health programs. You will manage Person-Centered Plans and guide our support staff to ensure excellence.


Core Responsibilities

  • Create and manage client Person-Centered Plans.
  • Supervise and train Direct Support Professionals.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and conduct quality assessments.
  • Coordinate with families and healthcare providers.

Qualification Pathways

  • Related Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of post-grad IDD/MH experience.
  • Non-related Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of post-grad IDD/MH experience.
  • Master’s degree + 1 year of post-grad IDD/MH experience.
  • Current NC QP status per 10A NCAC 27G .0104 standards.
